Some brief news items appearing in local and regional newspapers seem to suggest that work had started on building a railroad from Dornsife in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, to Pillow, in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The railroad was supposed to connect with the Herndon Branch of the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad. William Zartman of Dornsife was the person identified as the promoter.
Additional information is sought about this railroad that was never built.
