MRS. PRUDENCE COPENHAVER
Mrs. Prudence Copenhaver, age 87 year, widow of George Copenhaver, of Hershey, died in the Hershey Hospital last Thursday. She had been in ill health for some time.
Mrs. Copenhaver was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Daniel of Berrysburg. Her husband was the first superintendent of the Hershey Industrial School and Mrs. Copenhaver served as matron of the school from 1910 until her retirement in 1946. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hershey.
Survivors are a son, Daniel Copenhaver of Altadena, California; and two grandchildren.
Other survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Helen Hartman, of Hershey; Mrs. Sue Myers and Mrs. Ella Lance of Philadelphia;and Mrs. Oliver Stover of York; and three brothers, John J. Daniel of Hershey; and Roscoe B. Daniel and Clair J. Daniel. both of Philadelphia.
Services were held in Trinity Lutheran Church, Hershey, at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, and interment was made in the Hershey Cemetery.
