The dates of construction of the buildings on this farm are not known as of this posting.
The farm was part of a larger tract known as Hickory Bottom that was conveyed to Nicholas Hoffman by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1785,
On the 1875 of Lykens Township, the Reuben Riegle farm of 156 acres is marked. The location is on the south side of the road presently known as Route 25 and just east of its junction with the Crossroads.
