Rev. J. Alvin Reber served as minister of David’s Church, Killinger, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, from 1905 to 1914.

Jonathan Alvin Reber was born in North Heidelberg, Berks County, Pennsylvania, March 11, 1851. He was graduated from Franklin and Marshall College and the Lancaster Theological Seminary. After graduation, he became superintendent of Immanuel Mission Sunday School, which became the now [1950] flourishing St. Stephen’s Church, in Reading.
He served the following charges: Cressona, Lehighton, McAdoo Mission, Mainville, St. David’s, and Newburg. He served as stated clerk of four Classis: Lebanon, Schuylkill, East Susquehanna and Carlisle; also a president of Lehigh Classis.
The last five years of his life he lived in Doylestown with his daughter, Mrs. Calvin F. Boyer. He was a father of seven children. He is buried in the cemetery at Doylestown.
