Rev. Thomas Craven attended Sacred Heart School, Williamstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania for grades 1 through 7, then attended Holy Child Grade School. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1946. Then he entered St. Charles Boromeo Seminary. He was ordained on May 10, 1956. He returned to Williamstown on May 20, 1975, to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving in the Church of the Sacred Heart. Rev. Craven’s first assignment was Puerto Rico, where he taught for one year, and continued to work with Spanish-language people for 18 years. in 1975, he was the Director of Casa Del Carmen and was assisting at St. Bonaventure.
