A pre-1902 stereoscopic view card depicting the old Pennsylvania Railroad Rockville Bridge over the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
This bridge was replaced by the current bridge in 1902, which at the time it was built and still is currently, the longest stone arch bridge in the world.
The stereoscopic card was part of a series of views titled “The Scenery of the Pennsylvania Railroad,” photographed by W. T. Purviance, of Philadelphia.
