FUNERAL YESTERDAY FOR GRATZ MANUFACTURER
Roscoe E. Blyer, age 56 years, owner of the Gratz Shirt Manufacturing Company, died in a Philadelphia hospital Sunday morning. He had been in ill health for some time.
Mr. Blyler was a member of Simeon’s Reformed Church, Gratz; the American Legion; the Gratz Fire Company; and the Moose Lodge of Millersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Blyker; one daughter, Mrs. Guy Miller, Gratz; two sons, Neale Blyler of Philadelphia and Robert Blyler at home; and one grandchild.
Other survivors are three brothers, Heister Blyler, Millersburg, and Harry Blyler, Lancaster; and three sisters, Mrs. P. E. Downing, Trenton, New Jersey; Mrs. Clarence Miller, Gratz; and Mrs. Phaen Rehrer, of Tremont.
Services were held from the residence in Gratz at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Levan A. Zechman, pastor of the Lykens Valley Reformed Charge officiated and interment was made in the Gratz Cemetery.
