Obituary from the West Schuylkill Herald, May 22, 1968, via Newspapers.com.
The portrait of Mrs. Miller is from the Souvenir Book for the Centennial of Tower City and Porter Township, 1868-1978. It appears in the dedication section at the beginning of the book where she is identified as “Our Centenarian: Our oldest resident born February 1, 1869, whom we honor as we celebrate our Centennial.” Unfortunately, Mrs. Miller died three-and-a-half months after her 99th birthday (May 16, 1968) and thus was not actually a centenarian.
