Two undated photographs of Norman L. Riegle (1886-1941) and unidentified children believed to have been taken while on a visit to the Riegle-Dietrich homestead or the neighboring Sitlinger farm, Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Norman Riegle is the older man in at the left in the above photo. Are the children playing a game of football, or just “horsing around.”
The boy at the lower left in the second photo is possibly Harold W. Dietrich (1919-1988), who was the son of William Dietrich (1896-1977) and Helen [Hoffman] Dietrich (1895-1977), who, at the time owned the homestead and were residing there. The blond boy at bottom center is possibly one of the sons of Norman Riegle, and the two older boys standing are possiblly the sons of Norman’s sister, Bertha [Riegle] Sitlinger (1879-1952). Her sons were Albert Sitlinger (1903-1973) and Harrison Sitlinger (1904-1953).
