The low lying areas in the vicinity of Pillow were flooded when rising water from the Mahantongo Creek completely closed them with water and debris. Bohner’s Mill, pictured above, in the hollow northwest of Pillow, was washed from its foundation and came to rest in the roadway near the bridge. Notice the depth of the water.
