From the Lykens Standard, June 6, 1924:
MOONSHINE BLAMED FOR TREMONTER’S DEATH
Tremont, June 2 [1924] — Clyde Dubbs was found dead Sunday in an automobile in the central part of Tremont. A bottle was found in his car and State Police believe Dubbs was killed by poisoned liquor. He had been at Pinegrove with friends and returned with them early Sunday, apparently in good health. When he was seen lying on a cushion of his automobile, it was supposed he was asleep, but after two hours, when his friends tried to arouse him, it was found he was dead.
