Ultralight Crashes at Bendigo Airport
An ultralight airplane crashed Saturday at an airport in northern Dauphin County, police confirmed.
The crash at the Bendigo Airport was reported to police at 7:20 p.m.
A spokesman for state police at Lykens said the pilot apparently was not hurt badly.
Early reports indicated the pilot was trapped in the plane.
The state police spokesman said police and the Federal Aviation Administration will not investigate, because ultralights do not Fall under FAA regulations.
Dauphin County Emergency Services sent the Sheridan Fire Company and Dauphin County medics. A Lifelion helicopter was on the scene. Schuylkill County sent an ambulance.
