A photograph believed to be taken on the wedding day of Flossie Evitts and Jacob Kline at Hummelstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, 19 July 1919.
Flossie R. Evitts was born 10 February 1892, the daughter of William Evitts (1854-1928) and Sarah Adaline [Daniel] Evitts (1859-1925) of Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Jacob Alexander Kline was born 27 October 1895, in Millersburg, Dauphin County, the son of Charles Alexander Monroe Kline (1861-1917) and Amelia [Enders] Kline (1866-1931). Following the death of Jacob’s father, his mother married L. Adolph Anderson. The photograph most likely shows Amelia, the mother, and possibly Adolph, the step-father, standing with the bride and groom.
Flossie died of complications from pregnancy on 28 September 1919. After her death, Jacob remarried. He died in New Jersey in 1963.
