A newspaper photo and caption from the Lykens Standard, July 3, 1925. Headline: TROLLEY BRIDGE RAZED.
The caption reads as follows:
The trolley bridge, familiarly known by all as “the high bridge” in Wiconisco, used for years by the traction company to cross the tracks of the P. R. R. [Pennsylvania Railroad], was razed this week. The razing of the bridge was ordered by Morris Forman who purchased the traction company and is removing all the tracks from Lykens to the Reiner City [Muir] limit. Practically all the rails are removed along the highway, and the bridge located at Williamstown, built about ten years ago, will also likely be razed. It was also used as a means of crossing the P. R. R. tracks.
