A recent photograph of buildings on what was in 1875 the 102 acre farm of William Hawk and John Hoover Sr., Specktown, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Currently, this property has a one-room school house known as the Specktown School, used by the Amish for educational and religious purposes.
Originally, this farm was part of grants to the Hoffman family, one to Peter Hoffman Jr. in 1796 and one to Nicholas Hoffman in the same year.
The 1875 map of Lykens Township shows the location of the Hawk-Hoover property in Specktown.
