FUNERAL TODAY FOR W. L. TROUTMAN, FORMER SCHOOL TEACHER
William L. Troutman, age 76 years, died at his home in Pillow, Sunday evening, following an illness of about two years.
Mr. Troutman was a son of the late William K. Troutman and Lydia Troutman, and was born at Hebe, 5 March 1864. He had been a teacher in schools of Lower Northumberland County forty-two years, prior to his retirement, and was also a former justice of the peace of Jordan Township, that county.
Mr. Troutman was a member of the Hebe Reformed Church, and the P. O. S. of A. lodge of Hebe, and had been a resident of Pillow the past fourteen years.
Survivors are his widow, formerly Miss Susan M. Lahr, of Hebe; and the following children: William Troutman, Clarence Troutman, Roscoe Troutman, Ammon Troutman, Eva Troutman, and Earl Troutman, of Hebe; Grant Troutman, of Pillow; and Faye Troutman [Mrs. Allen Schlegel] of Valley View. Other survivors are a sister, Miss Marie Troutman, of Ashland; eighteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the residence at 2:00 o’clock this Thursday afternoon, with further services in the Hebe Lutheran and Reformed Church. Rev. Jacob Singer will officiate, and interment will be in the Hebe Cemetery.
