FATALLY INJURED IN MINE ACCIDENT
William Richards, 31, of Sheridan, was fatally injured when caught in a fall of rock at an independent mine operation near Williamstown last Friday afternoon. He was admitted to the Harrisburg Hospital where he died several hours later.
Mr. Richards was a veteran of World War II and a former resident of Williamstown.
Survivors are his wife, Helen [English] Richards, two sons, Thomas Richards and Gerald Richards, one brother, a sister, and his mother of Williamstown.
Services were held from the Dreisigacher Funeral Home, Tower City, Tuesday morning. Rev. George Ludwig, pastor of the Methodist Church officiated, and interment was made in Greenwood Cemetery at Tower City.
