The first brick home in Williams Township was built in 1860 by Thomas B. Davis, at 541 West Market Street, Williamstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Davis was the local druggist and owner of the race track on the south side of town, referred to by many as “Tommy’s Dam” after it became inundated by the coal dirt silt and water from the creek that the local mine drained into.
