TOWER CITY MARINE KILLED IN PACIFIC AREA
Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Wagner of Tower City, have been advised by telegram that their son, Corporal Dean E. Wagner, of the U.S. Marine Corps, was killed in action in the South pacific area. Information as to the date and place of his death was not given.
Corporal Wagner was a native of Tower City and a graduate of the Tower City High School of 1941. He entered the Marine Corps in September 1942 and had served in the Pacific area twenty-one months. Prior to entering the service he was employed at the Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Ruth Wagner, at home.
