Report Wiconisco Man Killed in Reich Action
WICONISCO — Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rowe have received word that their son, Pfc. Herman L. Rowe, was killed in action in Germany on 20 March 1945.
Private Rowe entered the service last September, trained at Camp Wheeler, Georgia, and had been overseas one and a half months.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Kenneth Rowe, of Millersburg and three sisters, Lois Rowe, Elva Rowe, and Shirley Rowe, at home.

Wiconisco Soldier Killed in Germany
Wiconisco — Word has been received by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rowe, of Wiconisco, that their son, Pfc. Herman L. Rowe, was killed in action in Germany, 20 March 1945.
Private Rowe was 18 years of age and entered the service in September 1944. He served overseas 1 1/2 months in France.
Surviving are his parents, a brother Kenneth Rowe, in Millersburg; three sisters, at home – Shirley Rowe, Elva Rowe, and Lois Rowe.

Wiconisco — Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rowe, Wiconisco, received a Purple Heart for their son, Pfc. Herman L. Rowe, who was killed in action in Germany.
