FUNERAL SUNDAY FOR WAR VETERAN [1949]
Funeral services for Pfc. John D. A. Ginter, who was killed in action in Germany, 17 September 1944, will be held in the Fisherville Lutheran Church at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
Rev. R. M. Wise of Mr. Holly Springs will officiate and military rites will be conducted by the Ginter-Koppenhaver Post Veterans of Foreign Wars, assisted by the American Legion Post of Halifax.
Pfc. Ginter was a graduate of the Halifax High School and Pennsylvania State College. He entered the Army in February 1942 and was assigned to overseas duty with the 3rd Armored Division, First Army, in September 1943.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Ginter, Halifax R. D., and a sister, Mrs. Gerald Woolcock, of Millville, Pennsylvania.
